As The Artistic Maximizer, Chad balances beauty with functionality. He has the experience and skills to look at a blank canvas and envision what could be. His passion for the beautiful fuels his creative drive, which ultimately leads to thoughtfully designed and innovative spacial solutions, both indoors and out.
Born in Philadelphia, raised in Texas and having lived in the Dominican Republic for almost two decades, Chad draws from a varied background. He is an avid cyclist, splitting time between mountain biking and road cycling and has spent significant time in the mountains engaged in any number of outdoor pursuits. Needless to say, Chad is passionate about anything outside…which adds to his creative tool-belt. He founded and is co-owner of a 350 acre ecological reserve and organic coffee plantation in the DR, not far from their home in Jarabacoa. Spirit Mountain is the ultimate pallet for his creative juices!
Chad is an Aggie, class of ’93. Since graduating with a degree in Construction Management from the College of Architecture, he has dedicated most of his professional career to design/build and delivering some of the most innovative and uniquely designed spaces built in the Dominican Republic. Having also completed course work at A&M in Out Door Education, Chad possesses an added appreciation for the value outdoor spaces bring to learning. His commitment to innovation in education propelled his involvement in co-founding the first international Expeditionary Learning School, which is one of the most unique and strategic, Faith based, K-12 College prep schools in the world. Chad’s diverse background in design/build and experience in the outdoors are valuable assets for the Landvisions’ Team.
Chad lives in Tyler’s Historic Red Brick Village in the Azalea District with his wife, Krista Adams Wallace. They have two daughters, Keren Aspen, who is attending Western State in Gunnison, CO and Kathryn Brook, who dances with Alvin Ailey in New York City.
