The fact that Tyler, Texas has it’s very own micro-brewery, and a really good one at that, is testament that we are on the right tract! Ryan Dixon and his team at True Vine joined up with Porch Culture Coffee Roasters to establish their businesses in North Tyler. My personal connection with Jonathan and Shelly Ramm, owners of Porch Culture Coffee Roasters (they roast coffee from our Organic Coffee Plantation in the Dominican Republic) got me connected with True Vine. I’ve enjoyed many Open Taps in the “Back Yard”, partaking in fine fellowship, tasty brew and live music. When I was asked to give my input to maximize the use of their outdoor space for Open Taps, ‘I thought’….what better way for me to get Landvisions even more involved in the community at a grass roots level. Our entire team met with Ryan at True Vine…in their ‘Back Yard’ and listened to his dreams…and their challenges. We would do all the design work ‘Pro-bono’!! After months of precedent research, multiple site visits, attending more Open Taps events and traveling to similar venues around the country, I felt that we had a pretty good idea of how to best utilize their space. With Designs finished, budget numbers in and a road map in place for the future, Ryan Dixon and his team have started making progress. Having just finished the installation of their new brewing equipment (spectacular…by the way!), funds are super low, so the ‘Back Yard’ as they are calling the beer garden will be built little by little with the help of the greater “True Vine’ community. We at Landvisions are proud to have played a part in this great endeavor and look forward to seeing how small ‘VERY COOL’ businesses like True Vine and Porch Culture Coffee Roasters take root in Tyler.
